Robert Eyer is a Shareholder Emeritus at Wessel & Company with deep expertise in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, ESOP, and financial advisory for manufacturing and government contracting industries. He brings decades of experience from a national "Big Eight" firm background — experience he applied to grow Wessel & Company to nearly 50 professionals.
Robert's dual background in public accounting and military service forms the foundation of RJE's leadership philosophy: disciplined execution, mission focus, and accountability at every level. He holds an Accounting degree and is a member of the AICPA and PICPA.
Robert brings 30 years of software development experience and 15 years leading high-performing engineering organizations. His career spans applied AI, geospatial technology, real estate technology, and government systems at every level — local, state, and federal — including contributions to TerraServer, one of the earliest large-scale geospatial web platforms, and technology delivery in support of the CDC.
He founded and led MAP Systems, Inc., a GIS and technology consulting practice delivering spatial and software solutions for government, defense, and enterprise clients for nearly a decade. As a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and systems architect, he has driven large-scale integrations — including enterprise Salesforce implementations — and full-cycle product development from concept through launch across SaaS platforms, municipal systems, and real estate technology. That depth across industries and integration disciplines gives Robert a rare ability to connect complex systems, teams, and business objectives into outcomes that deliver.
Captain Kohart is a retired U.S. Navy Captain and Marine Corps aviator with over 35 years of technology leadership and senior defense management experience. His career spans commanding an F-14 fighter squadron, serving as Special Assistant to NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Atlantic, and directing the Navy's Center for Security Forces — overseeing 18 training sites worldwide, 735 personnel, and a $90 million annual budget.
Most recently he served as Space and Cyber Principal Technical Director at Stephenson Stellar Corporation, directing the company's largest space and cyber programs. He previously advised the Office of the Secretary of Defense's Rapid Reaction Technology Office, providing oversight and program management for some of the nation's most advanced emerging technologies through the full DoD funding, development, and transition process. He holds an MA in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, an MBA from Troy University, and is both a PMP and Certified Scrum Master. Active TS/SCI clearance.
